StageAhead’s Drama Coach is an experienced and passionate performer. Training specifically in stagecraft and acting for film and tv since the age of 16, Kelly cannot wait to get her teeth into this new challenge and is bursting with excitement about ‘StageAhead’
Kelly has worked with many different theatre companies over the years, both local and national and still performs on a regular basis now. Having worked with many inspiring performers and performed at numerous fringe festivals, Kelly also now has her own theatre company which specialises in feminist comedy and even dabbles in stand up occasionally.
Featuring in her first feature film at the age of 19, she loves being in front of the camera as well as on stage. Her work has received awards globally at film competions and has grabbed the attention of cinematographers and producers from around the world.
Kelly’s proudest moment was when she signed a distribution contract with an established company for another feature film, in which she played the lead in a year ago. This film with be released later this year!
By luck Kelly met Wayne and after hearing his vision for StageAhead she was desperate to be a part of this exciting venture
“Drama really did change my life, as cliché as that sounds. My passion for drama and the life lessons from the teachers I have learnt from really have shaped me into who I have become today. Drama is my love and I cannot imagine doing anything different. I want to instill the same passion to the next generation and really help these young performers grow. Even if these young people don’t wish to be performers, the confidence that stagecraft builds really is priceless and can help them develop and release their full potential. I would love to be part of that journey.”
